All About Me
Hello Families!!
My name is Kari Jipner, the Library-Media specialist here at Bristol Elementary School. I grew up in Bristol and now live here with my husband and three children (ninth grade, fifth, and kindergarten). I hold a Vermont teaching certification in elementary education with a Master's Degree in Literacy, a graduate certificate in special education, and am currently continuing my education as a library-media specialist. I have 18 years of teaching experience, 11 of them here at BES, ranging from grades K-6.
I am excited to begin my journey as the library-media specialist! I hope to provide our students with high-quality instruction that encourages the development of critical thinking, problem solving, and communication skills as they use the library-media center as an extension of their classroom. I want to create a space where students can acquire information, learn literacy skills, and foster a commitment to create lifelong readers.
I feel so thankful to be here and lucky to be a part of the Bristol community, giving my children the same positive experiences that I had. My favorite thing about Bristol is attending the community events and being a part of such a great town. We sure are lucky to live in such a beautiful supportive place!
