All About Me

Hello Families!!  

My name is Kari Jipner, the Library-Media specialist here at Bristol Elementary School. I grew up in Bristol and now live here with my husband and three children.  I hold a Vermont teaching certification in elementary education with a Master's Degree in Literacy, a graduate certificate in special education, and a K-12 library-media endorsement. I have 20 years of teaching experience, 12 of them here at BES, ranging from grades K-6.

I am so excited to be your library-media specialist!  I aim to provide our students with high-quality instruction that encourages the development of critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills as they use the library-media center as an extension of their classroom.  I want to create a space where students can acquire information, learn literacy skills, and foster a commitment to create lifelong readers. 

I feel so thankful to be here and lucky to be a part of the Bristol community, giving my children the same positive experiences that I had.  My favorite thing about Bristol is attending community events and being a part of such a great town.  We sure are lucky to live in such a beautiful supportive place!
