Do you enjoy fast-paced sports? ELP’s Mt Abe Mad CAD-ers first-ever competition will be live-streamed this weekend! The balls will be flying, the robots will be bumping, and you might even see them climb.
Each match is action-packed and lasts 2 minutes and 30 seconds. For the first 20 seconds, the robots run pre-programmed autonomous code. After that, the students take over the controls.
Every match features two alliances of three teams each. The alliance that scores the most balls into the hopper and climbs the highest wins.
There’s a catch, though: during teleop, when students are driving, only one team’s hopper is active at a time. That creates exciting opportunities for both offense and defense. Strategy is just as important as individual scoring!
